Is @LilWayne Signing With @MasterP #NoLimit

Master P and Lil’ Wayne’s historic “Power” collaboration coincidentally came to fruition as the Cash Money rapper faces a split from his label of nearly 20 years. Creating a buzz in the streets, speculation began as to whether or not Weezy was looking to head to P’s No Limit imprint, but are the masses getting ahead of themselves? The No Limit head honcho discussed the possibility in a recent interview on Sway In The Morning.

“Anything is possible, but Wayne just making good music,” he said. “I rapped on his record, he rapped on this ‘Power’ record, we’re gonna build a relationship from there. However it goes, it’s all official over here.”

Noting that he was not worried about any backlash from Baby for collaborating with Wayne, Master P expressed respect for the Cash Money team. And while he left the prospect of signing the Young Money CEO open, he also showed faith in Weezy’s business savvy.

“I’m there for him, if that’s what he needs,” Master P said. “But I think he know what he’s doing with his situation. He’s been in this game a long time, he’s one of the best rappers in the world. I just appreciate me and him getting together.”

Freeway Ricky Ross says hip-hop is used as a government tool

I believe that what they’ve done is that they’ve taken hip-hop and made it glorious to be a drug dealer,” explained Ross. “You know when I sold drugs, I hid. I didn’t want anybody to know I sold drugs, but now, they’ve got these guys who’ve never sold drugs.” Ross then brought up how the rapper Rick Ross, who worked as a corrections officer and stole the former drug dealer’s identity.

“The message that it tells our kids is that if you go out, sell drugs, then you can become a great rock star… and never go to prison,” noted Ross. “That’s a false message to be giving people who feel hopeless.”

When asked if he was angry at rapper Rick Ross for stealing his identity, the real Rick Ross says he’s “angry at the whole culture.” Ross says he’s not really upset at the rapper because he doesn’t believe the rapper understands that he’s a pawn in a much larger game.

Ross noted that it’s harder for him to get into schools and teach kids an anti-drug message than it is for a rapper to reach kids.

Ross explained that the hip hop lifestyle doesn’t lead to riches, but to prison, where you “get your lights turned off at 7:00pm” and they give you a job. He says as a prisoner, you’ll make .25 cents an hour for a job that pays $35.00 an hour on the street. “And then they charge you as much as .50 cent a minute for a phone call,” added Ross.

“So you gotta work two hours to talk to your wife or son or daughter for two minutes?” asked Jones, to which Ross replied, “Yup.”

Alex Jones pointed out that part of the reason people can’t find jobs is because prison labor is becoming America’s new labor force.

Taraji P. Henson Responds To 50 Cent’s ‘Empire’ Criticism

Taraji P. Henson Responds To 50 Cent’s ‘Empire’(Criticism)

Ahead of the premiere for FOX’s Empire, 50 Cent dropped off some commentaryabout the show’s marketing. Concluding that the show stole the scheme associated with his Starz series Power, the rap mogul made the following comment on Instagram:

“POWER Season 2 is unbelievably good trust me. I have the best writers and show runner. I like Terrence howard and Taraji Henson. I don't like that They would copy the Marketing.”

Now, it seems 50’s observation has come to the attention of one of Empire’s stars: Taraji P. Henson. Asked what she thought of the comparison the G-Unit frontman made, Henson dismissed him, writing, “I pay attention to $’s NOT cents.”
