9 RAPPERS WHO PRETENDED TO BE RICH, BUT WERE ACTUALLY FLAT BROKE

9 RAPPERS WHO PRETENDED TO BE RICH, BUT WERE ACTUALLY FLAT BROKE

You see rappers on TV shining like crazy and bragging about how much money they have.  But most of this is a really ugly lie and one that makes black people look as ignorant as any minstrel show in the history of our country.  You’ve seen what rappers say about themselves on TV, but here’s some truth about how your favorite rapper is probably going broke right now:
1) Ludacris was in a custody battle with the mother of his child and revealed in court filings that he earned only $55,000 over the previous year.  That’s hardly the paycheck of a baller.  Yes, that was $55,000 and yes, that was 2013.  Check the link if you don’t believe us.
2) Lil Bow Wow was in court after his Bentley was repossessed.  He revealed that he had only $1,500 in his bank account.  He now has a job on BET’s 106 & Park, but this is probably not enough money to get him out of debt.  According to Celebrity Net Worth, Bow Wow owes $90,000 to the IRS and another $280,000 to a luxury car leasing company.  So, while the depth of his financial distress remains unclear, it’s very clear that he’s living on the edge financially.
3) Xzibit – former host of the MTV show, “Pimp My Ride,” filed bankruptcy after owing over $1 million dollars to the IRS.  He hasn’t had a hit record since Bobby and Whitney were in love with each other.  He has filed bankruptcy twice since 2009.
4) Method Man was arrested for failing to pay taxes back in 2011.   He resolved the matter, but remains in debt.   He also keeps trying to make a comeback, but it’s just not working out.
5) Fat Joe – went to prison after pleading guilty to tax evasion after owing over a million dollars to the IRS.
6) Lil Flip went to court and told the judge that he can’t pay more than $500 per month in child support.  According to most estimates, this means that he isn’t earning more than about $3,000 per month.  He’d be better off collecting trash for a living.
7) Ja Rule went to prison for two years for tax evasion after owing millions to the IRS.  He gets out soon, and will spend the rest of his life paying off the debt.  He does have a cookbook coming out, so maybe that will make him a billionaire.
8) Beanie Sigel – He used to rap next to Jay-Z, but he too went to prison for drug possession and also had serious trouble with the IRS.  Those lawyers can be expensive when you’re committing your life to “keeping it real.”
9) Young Buck from G-Unit went bankrupt and lost his home, forcing him to sell his jewelry and everything else.  If you listen to any of Buck’s songs, you’ll hear that he usually rapped about how much money he had and even made fun of other rappers who’ve gone broke.  Now, he’ll just be making jokes about himself; that’s if anybody ever listens to his music again.
Mark Dice does an interesting video on the topic.  He comes off a bit condescending and maybe even racist, so that’s tough to swallow.  But if you listen to the gist of what he’s saying, he’s speaking quite a bit of truth about the buffoonery and financial irresponsibility that is prevalent in hip-hop music on the radio.  Dice states that many of the artists on television are actors, and that the seemingly authentic lifestyle that young people are emulating is merely a facade.  What’s most pathetic is that many of the artists selling this imagery to teenagers are in their mid to late thirties, so they’re a little too grown to be thinking and dressing like kids.
It’s actually a little sad when you think about it.  Maybe we can do better for the next generation:  Let’s teach our kids how to be true ballers by going to college and running their own businesses, instead of being pawns for white people who think we’re stupid.   We have enough rappers and athletes already.

STL THE MOVIE is a 2013 drama film. The director, Arturo Smith of NIYA FILMS introduces life growing up in one of America's most dangerous cities, St. Louis, MO. The movie takes place in several St. Louis areas that experience drug trafficking and gun violence. This film contains gritty, cutthroat, and heart-wrenching plot twists that keep the viewer engrossed in the story until the very end. The author and star of the movie, Clentis (J-Wha) White gives a breath taking performance portraying Jay living on the mean streets of St. Louis. The cast includes YC St. Louis, Brittany J, Bo Dean, Guddah Goon and Jessica Ivory.

Clentis (J-Wha) White -- Jay

YC St. Louis -- Nell (Jay's best friend)

Brittany J -- Shauntay (Jay's love interest)

Bo Dean -- Ali and Antwan (twin brothers)

Guddah Goon -- O.G.

Jessica Ivory -- Sweet Pea (O.G.'s love interest)

This a powerful and gripping story, not glorifying a violent lifestyle or St. Louis' status as one of the most dangerous cities in America -- but chronicling the trials and tribulations young black Americans face on a daily basis.

@MichelleTowns & @NepMediaBlog Interview

NMB: Hey what's up Mz Caine (laugh) how u doing today?
MICHELLE TOWNS: (laugh) I'm good just coolin' trying to make a dream or two come true
NMB: U a upcoming model out of St.Louis do u think it's harder to get noticed in this city?
MICHELLE TOWNS: In st Louis there are so many self proclaim models that people don't take the craft serious enough. For me I feel its hard in this city because nobody supports one another or u have girls who boot u out because of what they are willing to do for a picture an what u may not be willing to do, same as photographers some of them may act as if they can get your face out there, but really just adding pictures to they're collections of girls who's dreaming to become a model in this cruel city, but they're just like a weed man in the streets u know the real from the fake.
NMB: Do u have any talents people don't know about?
MICHELLE TOWNS: Talents people's don't know about me (laughs) ummm...not really nothing to big, but I like to play basketball and run kids (laughs) they are my weakness I love making people happy tho .
NMB: Who's your favorite local artist in St.Louis?
MICHELLE TOWNS: I have quite a few.. I really like @certified/concrete I love there' music an strive its a team and family effort and I love that about them....I also like @PeeteyWeestro anyone going that hard is amazing and u have no choice but to listen to him .. uuum from the 618 I have 3 top faves @YungHang who I play daily to get me charged! @B-Jo the lady spitta of the east..uum Mr. R&b himself @EternityBlack I just get chills when I hear him sang not sing sang (laughs)

MICHELLE TOWNS: Prayer and positive thoughts keep me focused and my kids I want better for them.
NMB: Was u a popular girl in school?
MICHELLE TOWNS: In grade school I was far from popular it was like when I got to high school everything changed it was like I started to make friends and by senior year I was pretty known an loved but I've never felt more love then I feel these last few years that people have been getting to know Mz Cocaine !
NMB: To the younger females that wanna model what type of advice would u give them?
MICHELLE TOWNS: For younger females I would just say be careful an don't trust everyone that says they can get u somewhere or make your dreams come true...do only what makes u feel comfy not what someone says will work .. U gotta know all advice isn't good advice!
NMB: How was it to meet @PeeteyWeestro & the squad #BOOYAH ?
MICHELLE TOWNS: @PeeteyWeestro is great very humble always look forward to working with him he's very professional an determined I always admire that in him I see him & I take notes I might need to know (laugh)
NMB: Just to let u know I see potential in you & I think your modeling is dope. Is there anything else you love doing besides modeling?
MICHELLE TOWNS: Besides modeling I've got my open mic nights that I host in St.Louis and I love holding the crowd an turning up with my audience and supporters! I just love to take pictures it makes me feel so beautiful an I like having people being haappy with my pictures....I love to hear photographers say "We got the shot" after the first few shots (Iaughs) yea that's an amazing feeling!
NMB: So what's Mz Caine next move?
MICHELLE TOWNS: What's next for Cocaine? Well my birthday is Friday 26 ! It's almost the 30th, so I need my next move to be the best one (laughs) my kids like it so we might make it a family business .. I'm just waiting for.more bookings!

@NepMediaBlog & Alton,IL Rnb Artist @JayLove Interview

NMB: Hey what's up Jay Love how u doing my dude ?
JAY LOVE: Man I'm doing great bro,how about yourself?
NMB: I'm cool. U see my team #Booyah / #CandorFilms & I got the new media blog for us local dope talented people , so I'm feeling good we're giving back in some way , but
u gotta new project that's out right now , can u tell me more about that ?
JAY LOVE: Yeah man. Finally Reloaded. Its the re-release of my EP "Finally" I didn't think "Finally" got the best look so as my buzz started to grow I decided to add more songs to "Finally" and put it back out there, but this time it's stronger.
NMB: I see u on sound cloud  .. what makes u stay consistent with giving the people new music?
JAY LOVE: Well I believe consistency is key and people are only gonna listen for so long to the same old stuff so I like to keep it fresh so I always have the attention of the people.
NMB: Who's a local artist in your town u would like to collab with?
JAY LOVE: Local artists.. I'm really open to working with any local artist that is a hard worker and dedicated to their craft and trying to improve on a consistent basis such as myself.
NMB: How did it feel to perform at the Argosy casino in alton IL?
JAY LOVE: It was so much love at the show at Argosy. I really wasn't expecting to see so many faces out there it was overwhelming. It was a great show overall. All the people that missed it truly missed something special.
NMB: I seen u had some haters big dawg . That's crazy! Why do u think people hate low key on other humans?
JAY LOVE: Yeah.. Hate comes with the territory of what we do.. Since then me and the individual have talked and are good. But I believe some people hate in all honesty bcuz they don't understand why your in the position Jackson .. And its bad amongst the African-American community its bcuz we don't want to see each other do better than the other, but our blessings come in different sizes and at different times according to the will of God.
NMB: Can u rap?
JAY LOVE: I can rap a bit.. Little do people know I was a part of the old local rap group in Alton, IL The Lovett Boyz so I got a lil skill (laugh) !
NMB: Who inspired u to sing?
JAY LOVE: My inspiration to sing came from seeing people sing in church and listening to the usual artists like Usher,Michael Jackson,R.Kelly.
NMB: What's next for Jay Love?
JAY LOVE: What's next... I'm already working on my next album trying to top a album like "Reloaded" will be difficult but I'm always up for the challenge.. More shows.. I'm gonna shoot like 4 videos to some songs from the CD plus a trip back to Cali so it's getting busy for me to say the least!
NMB: Anything else u would like to say?
JAY LOVE: Anything else to say.. I want to say thanks for loving my project so much it made you want to interview me bcuz I most definitely appreciate all of your support and it will never go unappreciated brother!
